Deion Iseman Taliaferro, 91, of Madison Heights, Virginia, passed away on Thursday June 19, 2025, at Lynchburg General Hospital.
Born on November 23, 1933, in Amherst County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Woodford Cleveland Iseman and Eva Ashley Iseman. Deion was a devoted wife to the late Albert Cheatwood Taliaferro and was a longtime member of Westland Methodist Church. She dedicated many years of her life working as an aide at Central Virginia Training Center.
Deion will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Brenda Turpin of Madison Heights; her grandson, David Turpin, and his wife Jessica; and her great-grandchildren: Kane, Micah, Amelia Turpin, and Hunter Hedrick.
She is also survived by her siblings: Kinckle Iseman of Lynchburg, VA, and Arlene Horton of Lynchburg.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Zan Iseman and Woodrow Iseman, and sisters Drene Hawkins, and Juanita Price.
A woman of quiet strength and enduring love, Deion touched many lives through her work and her faith. Her kindness, wisdom, quick wit, and love of a good laugh will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Whether she was sharing stories, humming along to her favorite Elvis tunes, or lighting up the room at family gatherings, she brought joy and warmth wherever she went.
