Delores Moore Catlett, 82, of Lynchburg, VA, died Sunday, December 25, 2011. She was the wife of the late David Lee Clark Catlett.
Delores was born August 19, 1929, in Nashville, TN, the daughter of the late Edward R. Moore and Daisy Rushing Moore. She was a member of Unity of Seven Hills Church.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Kenneth B. Catlett and David T. Catlett.
She is survived by eight children: Craig E. Harding; Gary K. Harding, and his wife, Joyce; Rhonda H. Proffitt, and her husband, Wayne; Connie C. Anderson, and her husband, David; Frank E. Catlett; Karen A. Beckoff, and her husband, Jonathon; Jeffrey S. Catlett, and his wife, Eleanor; and Sallie L. Catlett. Delores is survived by her eight grandchildren, and her special friend, Patricia Kidd.
The family will receive friends at Tharp Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 28, 2011, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A celebration of Delores's life will be conducted at Fort Hill Memorial Park on Thursday, December 29, 2011, at 11:00 AM, with Emmitt Harsley and Mark Everhart officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park.
