Denise Darcell Ware

Denise Darcel Ware “DD”, 58, of Lynchburg, VA passed away on March 21, 2025, at her residence of 30 plus years. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Barry Ware, Sr. and Dorothy Ann Bowling Ware. Denise was born November 18, 1966, in Lynchburg, VA. She attended Amherst County Public Schools, going all the way to the 10th grade. Denise obtained her GED in 1997. She started working various jobs, landing herself a manager’s position at the local fast-food restaurant, Rally’s. Denise stayed employed even after they closed.

Denise had a heart of gold; she would give you the shirt off her back if you were in need. DD enjoyed playing dice, her favorite game was high roll. She loved listening to her old school music and watching her old school tv shows.

Denise is survived by one daughter, Natarisha Ware of Lynchburg, one son, Dominique Ware and one bonus son, Roy Thompson of Madison Heights; she leaves behind three grandchildren, Lyvanus Gilbert, Kentaysia Ford, and Kamyren Brown. Along with six siblings, Tommy Ware, Sr., Kenneth Ware, Sr. of Lynchburg, VA, Darryl Ware (Carla), Rodney and Keemo Ware all of Dayton, TN and one loving sister, Andrea Bradley of Lynchburg, VA.

In addition to her parents, Denise “DD” Ware is predeceased by her two nieces, Keyonce and Kamane of Madison Heights, VA.

Denise “DD” Ware was the aunt to Taccoyna and Tara Parker, Lynchburg, VA. Kenneth Ware, Jr. and Kenija Ware, Lynchburg, VA, Darius, Cord and Corey Talifero all of Payten, TN, Tia and Cordell Ware all of Lynchburg, VA.

She leaves behind her devoted Aunt Elaine Jones, and two devoted cousins, Tiffany “TShay” Reid, my “Luv Bug” and Phillip “Lil Phil” Sparrow.

And to all her Greenfield family and closest friends who became family, may the memories comfort and bring you much joy.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 4, 2025, at Fairmont Baptist Church, 2409 Stapleton Road, Madison Heights, VA, 24572.
