Dennie Ray Arrington, Jr.

Dennie Ray Arrington, Jr., 57, of Campbell County, died Monday, March 21, 2011, at his residence. He was the loving and devoted husband of Carla W. Arrington.

Born in Lynchburg, on September 22, 1953, he was the son of Dennie R. Arrington and Phyllis L. Bradley. Dennie worked as a project manager with CSE in Madison Heights and was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the Red Rock Hunting Club.

In addition to his wife, mother and father, Dennie is survived by his step-mother, Beatrice \"Bea\" Arrington, of Bedford; a son, Stephan Arrington of Arlington; a daughter, Nicole \"Nici\" Ferguson and her husband, Waylon of Campbell County; a daughter, Justine Arrington of Williamsburg; a sister, Cyndie Zich of North Carolina; a brother, Joseph \"Joe\" Arrington of Campbell County; a sister, Stefanie Feese and her husband, Jamie of Lynchburg.  He is also survived by two grandsons Gavin Ferguson and Hunter Ferguson of Campbell County.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday March 24, 2011 at Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg. Upon his request, a private family graveside will be held at Altavista Memorial Park with Pastor Charles Haley officiating.
