Dennis Lee Murphy

Dennis Lee Murphy, 74, of Bedford, passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Oakwood Manor Nursing Home. He was born in Bedford, VA on November 14, 1946. A son of the late, Ferris Letcher Murphy, Sr., and Edith Gwendolyn Williams. Dennis was a man’s man. He was a member of Washington Street Baptist Church. He loved fast cars, drag racing, MOPAR, fishing, country westerns, Football especially the Baltimore Ravens, wrestling and spending time with his family and friends. He was loved by so many and will be missed by all that knew him.

Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Marionette Drew Murphy; son, Dominic Murphy and his wife, Rebekah: stepchildren, Milton Lewis Foxx and his wife, Michelle and Melisha Foxx; grandson, Dennis Rhys Murphy; step-grandchildren, Dequam, Chaz, Nyah, Milan, Miles, Rochelle, and Raheem; four siblings, Sharon Lynn Murphy Fox and husband, Alfred, Ferris L Murphy, Jr., and wife, Rita, Georgiann Murphy Watts and husband, Tom and Gwendolyn Murphy Lewis; Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
