Dennis Newman

Dennis Lee Newman, 59, of Lynchburg died Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Lynchburg General Hospital with his family around him.

Born in Lynchburg, Dennis was the son of Aubrey Newman and the late Thelma Goodman Newman.

In addition to his father, Dennis is also survived by his former wife, Lisa Newman; three sons, Daniel Garrett Newman, Andrew Joseph Newman and Brian Christopher Newman; and a sister, Bonnie Newman Chichka and her husband, Steven.

One of the past times Dennis enjoyed was watching Turner Classic\"™s with his sons when they were all home together. He also enjoyed fishing and playing golf. He was a member of Heritage United Methodist Church.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at Heritage United Methodist Church, conducted by Rev. Will Montgomery and Rev. Megan Saucier.

The family will receive friends at the church after the memorial service.
