Dennis Wayne Power, Jr., 54, of Lynchburg passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2025. He was the husband of Michelle Cooper Power of Lynchburg.
Dennis was born in Lynchburg, Virginia on December 9, 1970, a son of Don Morris and Rosie Brown Morris of Monroe. Dennis honorably served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps, a member of both the Moose Lodge, American Legion Post #16, and was a Behavioral Clinician with Horizon Behavioral Health in Lynchburg. He was also a dedicated Pittsburgh Steelers fan!
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Skylar Power and his son Rudy Power, both of Lynchburg, a brother Sam Morris (Marybeth Morris) of Concord, sister Lisa Aiken (Andy Aiken) of Madison Heights, Renee Morris (Deceased), Ray Cooper (Father-in-law), Jessica Boyd (Sister-in-law), and his special friends Mike Jones, Wade Smith, Larry Tomlin and Danny Jordan.
A Celebration of Dennis’s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 28, 2025, in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home Lynchburg with Dr. Robert Putt officiating. In honor of Dennis, for his love for the Pittsburgh Steelers we want everyone to dress in black and yellow or Pittsburgh Steeler attire.
