Dennis Wayne Bailey, age 62, of Lynchburg passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert Preston Bailey Sr. and Dorothy Campbell Bailey.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, David and Jennifer Bailey of Fredericksburg, Va.; brother, Robert P. Bailey Jr. of New York; sister and brother-in-law, Cindy Bailey Nobles and Sonny of South Carolina; five grandchildren, Kaleb, Nathan, Abbey, Noah, and Hannah of Fredericksburg, Va.; significant other, Valarie Evertson of Lynchburg and her children Bobby Evertson of Greensboro, North Carolina and Heather Evertson of Lynchburg.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, November 25, 2016, at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg. A graveside service will be held Saturday, November 26, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Brookneal.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.
