Dennis Wayne Howell
Dennis Wayne Howell, 42, of Bedford, died Wednesday, December 28, 2011 in Lynchburg General Hospital. He was born September 17, 1969 in Lynchburg, VA, a son of Patricia Ellen Bell Howell and Johnnie Forbes Howell. He was a member of Safe Harbor Community Church and an employee of Witt\"™s Wholesale.
In addition to his parents, Dennis is survived by his wife, Donna Lee Engleman Howell; two daughters, Brittany Danielle Howell and Taylor Jorden Howell both of Bedford; two step-children, William Corey Tomlinson and Emma Leanne Tomlinson both of Bedford; a sister, Lisa Dawn Norris of Prattville, AL; a brother, Michael Forbes Howell of Bedford; and a very special aunt, Virginia Howell Royal of Rustburg.
Dennis was known as a kindhearted, honest, do it right type person. He also enjoyed hunting, playing and coaching softball. He was a source of laughter to his family and friends to whom he was devoted. Neighbors and friends could easily turn to him for help at any time.

A celebration of Dennis\"™ life will be conducted at 11 AM, Saturday, December 31, 2011 at Bedford Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry M. Parr officiating. Burial will follow in Suck Spring Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM, Friday, December 30, 2011 at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Bedford, 586-3443.
