Dillard Allen Goff

Dillard Allen Goff, 88, of Big Island on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Bedford County Nursing Home. He was born in Big Island on May 13, 1935, to the late James Lewis Goff and Ellen Tolley Goff. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Mary Elizabeth Goff Byrd, James Calvin Goff, Dorothy Goff Wilson, Gordon B. Goff and Mary Ellen Goff Mayo.

Dillard was a member of Hunting Creek Baptist Church. He spent many years working with his dad as a logger. Dillard had a love for people and loved to fellowship over a good meal, especially if ice cream was involved. 

He is survived by his wife, Ella Mae Goff, sisters, Shirley G. Goff and Patricia G. Hickman and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Bedford County Nursing Home and Hospice for the special care that they gave to Dillard. 

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 29, 2024, at Hunting Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Ray Lyons officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, April 28, 2024, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford.
