Dinnah Barnette, 79, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 2, 2018, surrounded by family and friends.
Dinnah was born December 28, 1938, in Fayette County, W.V., daughter to Charlie and Velma Peters. Dinnah graduated from Wirt County High school then served her country in the USMC.
Dinnah was preceded in death by her mother, father and sister Barbie Cofflin. She is survived by a daughter Jackie Willis; sons, Gene Willis, Buddy (Shirley) Willis, Marvin (Terri) Barnette, and Pete (Amanda) Barnette; grandchildren, Raelyn, Abbi, Mandy, Sara, Tiffany, Mark, Evan, Cindy, Josh, Kacie, Bethany, Kirklin, Christina and Brianna; 17 great-grandchildren; brothers, David (Vera) Peters, Chuck (Carol) Peters, and Randy (Cathy) Peters; sisters, Connie (Jim) Fluharty, O’Dell (Junior) Foutty, and Vickie Moon and many loving nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Tharp Funeral Home, Madison Heights, on Monday February 5, 2018, from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services for Dinnah will be held at Tharp Funeral Home, Madison Heights, on Tuesday February 6, 2018, at 2 p.m.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Madison Heights, is assisting the family.
