Dion Francis Richardson

Dion Francis Richardson, 59, of Lynchburg, Virginia passed peacefully in his home Christmas Eve night to join the most incredible celebration in heaven. Dion was an active member of Saint Thomas More Catholic Church and an advocate for his community as a practicing attorney at law in Lynchburg and the surrounding counties. Dion’s eternal optimism, overwhelming joy for life and unwavering faith lit up any room, drawing all who met him to cherish his friendship. Dion was a loving father and husband and adored by his wife, Karen Richardson and his children; daughter, Jaclyn Brandt; son-in-law, Tim Brandt; son, Thomas Richardson and daughter Eve Richardson; his effervescence and joy will live on through them .He is predeceased by his father, Leo F. Richardson, Sr.; his brother, Brand Richardson; and nephew, Andrew Hutchinson. He leaves behind many loving friends and family members including his brother, Lee Richardson; Tague Richardson; sister, Margee Richardson; and mother, Maggie Richardson of Metarie, Louisiana. Memories of Dion will be treasured by all who knew him and comfort found in his assurance that, “we are the effect of His cause and it’s all good, baby.”

Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 noon, Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Saint Thomas More Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. Michael D. McCarron officiating.
