Dolly Ann Bradner Kidd
November 17, 1935 — June 16, 2014
On June 16, 2014 Dolly Bradner Kidd walked through the gates of Heaven to be with the love of her life, Ronald G. Kidd, Sr. They were married for 62 years.
Born November 17, 1935 to the late Dorothy L. and Dewey H. Bradner. Dolly leaves to cherish her memory a son, Ronald G. Kidd, Jr., wife, Bonnie, three daughters, Brenda Maxey, husband, Howard, Sharon Wilkes, husband, John, Ann Crickenberger, husband, Jeff; nine grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bonnie Parker, husband, Rufus, Linda Nuckles; sister-in-law, Ruth Taylor, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Dolly was retired from Concord Elementary School. She loved spending time with family.
The family would like to thank Dr. A. Kenneth Musana and the nursing staff of Lynchburg General 4th floor Oncology for the wonderful care they gave our mom. Thank you to the special neighbors who helped mom, Gina, Cyndi, Bub and to Jana Terrell for helping when we needed you the most.
A Graveside Service will be conducted by Rev. Frank Casper at 2:00 p.m. at Fort Hill Memorial Park on Thursday, June 19, 2014.
The family will receive friends today, Wednesday, June 18, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial contributions in Dolly’s name to go to the American Cancer Society, 2840 Electric Road, Suite 106 A, Roanoke, VA 24018.
