Dolores Jean Weigle

Dolores Jean Weigle, 91, of Lynchburg, went to be with her Lord, Thursday, January 16, 2025. She was the wife of Charles Edward Weigle for over 68 years.

Dolores was born on August 16, 1933, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Eugene Koontz and Hazel Stull Koontz. Dolores was retired as a professional nutritionist and attended Beulah Baptist Church. 

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter Cheryl Sanderson and husband David of Buchanan, and a sister Dorothy Rhodes and her husband Barry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Carlotta Weigle.

The family will hold a private graveside service at Fort Hill Memorial Park at a later date.
