Domonique Ann Mills

Domonique Ann Mills, 34, of Lynchburg, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2024. She was born on April 15, 1989 to Valerie Mills Britton and Marvin Clark Sr.

Domonique loved being a mom, taking care of others, being a caretaker, collecting a major shoe collection, and being a big sister. She was a highly intelligent woman who educated herself through the fields of social services, nursing, and cosmetology. Domonique was loved by her family but she mostly was a daddy’s girl. Through all of her battles, she never stopped fighting and her greatest joy in life was her children.

Domonique is predeceased by her maternal grandmother, Joyce Mills; aunt, Joynita Mills; great-grandmothers, Lillian Clark and Hallie Mills; and great-grandfather, Leslie Mills.

In addition to her parents, Domonique is survived by her husband, Dijon Smith; children, Sean Isaiah, Serenity “Pork Chop” Elise, Renee LeeAnn, Barry “LB” Jr., Elijah Malik, and their father, Barry D. Preston Sr.; brothers, Aaron Hadley Roberts III, Riley Donell “Donnie” Smith Jr., Xavier Deyvon Smith, and Marvin Eugene Clark Jr.; sisters, Natarsha Clark and MarLaysha Emoni Glenn-Clark; step-brother, James Glenn; step-sister, Serenity Glenn; grandparents, Waverly and Ann Coleman and Leslie Mills; step-parents, Sherrita Clark and Riley Donell “Smurf” Smith Sr.; a devoted godmother, Marcella Featherston; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg. Interment will be at the Baptist Cemetery.
