Donald Edward Tate “Donnie”, 67, of Evington, VA passed on February 6, 2019.
Born in Lynchburg, VA on August 2nd, 1951. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth Falls and Clarence Tate as well as his first wife, Paula Childress Tate.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl, his children Tim (Lindsay), Jenny Underwood (Mike), Tracy Hall (Phil), Cheryl Maschal (Stan), Lee Hudson (Leslie Nicole) and Leslie E. Hudson. Twelve grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Donnie was a gifted craftsman for over 40 years and a humble man who was selfless, generous and kind. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman whose enjoyment came from being in the woods or spending time with his family.
A funeral service will be held Monday, February 11, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow the service at Virginia Memorial Park.
His family will receive visitors at the residence of his daughter, Tracy, 211 Sheffey Dr. in Forest.
There are no words to express how much his family will miss him and his smile.
