Donald “Don” Eugene Haymaker, of Moneta died Saturday, November 11, 2017 at his residence. He was the husband of the late Leona Martin Haymaker.
Born in Roanoke, he was a son of the late Marcus A. Haymaker Sr. and Ella Sears Haymaker. He is also preceded in death by his brother; Mark A. Haymaker, Jr.
Donald served in the U.S. Army National Guard for six years. He was the owner of the Haymaker Marine Upholstery Shop in Moneta. He served as Potentate Kazim Temple in 2000.
Donald is survived by his son: David E. Haymaker (Kathy), two grandchildren, Todd Haymaker, Kari Yates and her husband, Billy; two great grandchildren, Natalie and Avery Yates; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Friday, November 17, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Roanoke, VA.
