Donald Arthur Garlock

Donald Arthur Garlock went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 27, 2025. He was born in Montclair, NJ on January 16, 1934.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Mary Lou Garlock; son Don Garlock, Jr., and daughter-in-law, Randi Garlock; parents Edward and Alice May Garlock; siblings Edward, Eunice, Robert, Frank, Elmer, Alice May, and David. He is survived by his children; Steven (Reba), Mary Lynn Poe (Doug), and Sherri Ann Bennett (Ken); 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and brother Victor. 

Don earned a doctorate from the University of Southern California. He taught at the university level for 40 years, served in the U.S. Air Force, and was chaplain for the Lynchburg Hillcats baseball team. His goal in life was to lead others to Jesus through baseball and Gospel tract ministries.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
