Donald Lee Hesson, 83, of Lynchburg passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020.
Donald was born June 3, 1937 in Lynchburg, the son of the late Carl C Hesson and Annie Layne Hesson. He was a retired manager with The Craddock Terry Shoe Corporation and an active member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Don loved traveling, the beach, raising and sharing his boxwoods and azealias; above all he cherished time spent with family and friends.In addition to his wife of 62 years, Faye Millner Hesson, Don is survived by two sons: S. Timothy Hesson (Michelle) of Midlothian, and Thomas B. Hesson (Ruth) of Marietta, GA, one grandson Zachary T. Hesson of Baltimore, MD, sister Linda H. Phillips of Aiken, SC, brother Benjamin L. Hesson (Linda) of Elon, VA, and his nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Judith Roll and Betty Brooks.
A memorial service for Donald will be held in the late Spring.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
