Donna Lee Pettitt Gervasi
Donna Lee Gervasi, 68, of Montvale, passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born in Roanoke on September 14, 1944 a daughter of the late Dwyer Francis Pettitt, Sr. and Hilda Lucille Bryant Pettitt. In addition to her parents Donna was preceded in death by her loving husband, Russell Gervasi.
Donna loved crafts, mostly, ceramics and machine embroidery. She also loved spending time playing on her computer and most of all quality time with her beloved family and friends especially in New York, Canada, Kentucky and here in Virginia. To many she was their \"MA\". Her Light and Love will always shine in our hearts.
She is survived by her children, Mary Applebaum and her husband, Trevor of Thornhill, Ontario, Canada; Ed Lynn of Radcliff, KY; and Debbie Mitchell and her husband, Bill of Bedford; one brother, Dwyer Pettitt, Jr. of West Point, KY; four grandchildren, Amanda Perkey, Robert Morris, Susan Morris and Becky Morris all of Bedford; also 10 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 4504 Starkey Road, Roanoke, VA 24018 or American Lung Association, 9221 Forest Hill Road, Richmond, VA 23235.
Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Bedford, (540)-586-3443.
