Donnie Lee Altice

Donnie Lee Altice, 76 of Forest, VA, died Thursday, October 10, 2013. He was the husband of the late Dorothy Viar Altice.

 

Born October 1, 1937 in Franklin County, Donnie was a son of the late Charles Bud Altice and Sally Davis Altice.

 

He is survived by his two step-daughters: Cheryl Mann and her husband, Ricky, Deborah Wooldridge; two step-grandchildren: Dustin Mann and his wife, Lindsay, Krystalin Mays and her husband, Corey, two step-great-grandchildren: Shane Mann, and Colt Mays, nieces, Shirley Dent, Judy Haley; nephews, Ronnie, Lewis and Ruben Altice; special great niece, Teresa Haley; special friend, John Haley, and other family and friends.

 

In addition to his parents, and wife, Donnie was preceded in death by brothers: Ira and Douglas Altice; sister: Dortherene Altice; and son- in-law, Jerry Wooldridge.

 

Donnie loved the great outdoors, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Donnie retired from Powers Fence Company.

 

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Sunday, October 13, 2013 at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg and other times at the residence.

 

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday, October 14, 2013 at Virginia Memorial Park with Pastor Bill Evans officiating.
