Doreathea “Dobie” Crews Johnson, 68, of Lynchburg went to be with the Lord Monday, June 26, 2023 when she was received in the arms of our Heavenly Father.  She was the wife of the late Stephen Johnson.  She was born on September 26, 1954 in Lynchburg and was preceded in death by her parents, the late Willie M. Dobie was educated in the Lynchburg City Public Schools and graduated from E.C. Dobie worked as a professional librarian with the Lynchburg City Public Library for over 40 years and retired in 2016.  She worked as a Residential Administrator for Sisters Heavenly Homes Residential Services from 2016 until her passing.  She was a faithful member of Providence Transformation Church International in Lynchburg, Virginia.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Monday, July 10, 2023, at Tharp Funeral Home and Crematory in Lynchburg, Virginia.  Followed by a Celebration of Dobie’s Life will be held at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home with Bishop Dr. James E.
