Doris Pillow Cofflin, 92, of Madison Heights, passed away Thursday, September 30, 2021. She was the wife of the late Melvin “Red” Cofflin.
Doris was born November 10, 1928, in Brookneal, Virginia a daughter of the late Lucius Newton Pillow and Sallie Moore Pillow. She is survived by her son Michael Cofflin of Lynchburg, her dedicated sister-in-law Peggy Floyd of Madison Heights, two special nieces, Phyllis Glovier and Kim Meade, and numerous other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Dudley and Edna Harper, a brother Nathan Pillow, and sister-in-law Virginia Gillette.
A graveside service for Doris will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at Fort Hill Memorial Park with Pastor Mike Dodson officiating.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Madison Heights, is assisting the family.
