Doris “Dody” Evelyn Littlefield, 86, of Lynchburg, died Saturday, September 3, 2016. She was the wife of the late Joseph W. Littlefield.
Doris was born Saturday, August 2, 1930 in Warren, Pa. She was a daughter of the late John W. Carr and the late Evelyn Mae Carr. She retired from New Process Co (Blair Corporation), where she was a Personnel Supervisor. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Youngsville, Pa.
She loved music and flowers and was known for her beautiful rose gardens, she also enjoyed traveling and spending time at the beach.
She is survived by a daughter, Evelyn K. Littlefield; a son, Gary D. Littlefield, both of Lynchburg; a brother, Warren Carr of Richmond, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters: Eileen Jewell, Phyllis Hendrickson and Maxine Carr; and a brother, John Carr, Jr.
A memorial service to celebrate Doris’s life will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 8, 2016 in the chapel at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg with Chaplain Wayne Lanham officiating.
