Doris Marie Robinson Dailey
January 23, 1932 — April 28, 2019
Doris Marie Robinson Dailey of Lynchburg, entered peacefully into eternal rest early Sunday morning, April 28, 2019.
She was born on January 23, 1932; the eighth child of the late Haywood Sr. and Lucille Robinson. In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by the love of her life, Johnnie Dailey; daughter, Sheila Dailey; son, Danny Dailey Sr., and granddaughter, Lekisia Dailey-Turner. Her eight siblings also preceded her in death namely Ruth, Rennie, Beatrice, Alberta, Haywood Jr., Grace, Helen and Carolyn.
She leaves to cherish her memory three loving daughters, Brenda (Raleigh) Motley and Doris Dailey both of Lynchburg, VA; Darlene Dailey of Decatur, GA; one son, Jerome Robinson of Atlanta, GA; ten grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; special sister-in-law, Alice Robinson; devoted daughter-in-law, Linda Dailey; and a host of loving relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends at Tharp Funeral Home Chapel, 220 Breezewood Drive, Lynchburg, VA on Friday, May 3, 2019 from 5 to 7 P.M. Doris will lay in repose one hour prior to the service. A Celebration of life will be held at 12 noon at Diamond Hill Baptist Church, 1415 Grace Street, Lynchburg, VA on Saturday, May 4, 2019.
Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, is assisting the family.
