Doris Tribble Wade

Doris Tribble Wade, 88, of Madison Heights, went to be with The Lord on Sunday, August 1st, 2021.  She was the loving wife of the late Aubrey M. Wade, Sr., and the daughter of the late Jesse James and Lina Tribble.

Doris attended Volens High School in Nathalie, Va.  She worked as a purchasing buyer at General Electric, retiring after 30 years.  She went on to work part-time at CVS in Madison Heights for 17 years.  Doris enjoyed cross-stitching, gardening, and spending time with family.

Doris is survived by four children: Earl P. Wade (Teresa) of Round Hill, Va.; Samuel E. Wade (Cheryl) of Amherst, Va.; Aubrey M. Wade, Jr. (Mary Anne) of Amherst, Va.; and Phyllis W. May (Kevin) of Forest, Va.; sisters Betty Ann Waller and Jean Compton; grandchildren Tara Wade, Alex Wade, Kim Mattox (Jason), Drew Wade, Nicole Murray (Chris), Tyler May (Lisa), Hunter May; and five great-grandchildren: Colin Wade, Camden and Carter Murray, Paige and Claire Mattox; and former daughters-in-law Susan Wade and Terry Wade.

In addition to her husband and parents, Doris was preceded in death by her siblings: Jim Tribble, E.W. Tribble, George Tribble, Louise Moon, Colleen Marston, and Mildred Moon.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 4th, 2021, from 6 pm to 8 pm at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg.  The service will be held Thursday, August 5th, 2021 at 1 pm at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg.  Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
