Dorothy Lincke Harlow Savage, 81, of Bedford, passed away Sunday, October 21, 2012 at the Elks National Home. Born December 16, 1930, in Raleigh, NC; she was a daughter of the late Virgil Wilfred Harlow and the late Evelyn Frances Lincke Harlow.
Many remember Dot for her years of service working as an LPN at the office of Dr. Jenrette and Dr. Wenger and Physicians Associates. Dot was a graduate of Hopewell High School and a member of Main Street United Methodist Church, the Red Hat Society, Ginter Park Junior Women\"™s Club, and a former member of Women of the Moose.
In addition to her parents, Dot was preceded in death by her husband, Preston Stewart Savage. She is survived by her children; Julie Savage Parker of Bedford, Stewart Savage, Jr. and wife, Carolyn of Lynchburg, and Vann Savage and wife, Linda of Bedford, grandchildren; Jamie H.P. Fitting and husband, Douglass, Kelly J. Mayhew and husband, Chris, Michael D. Mason, and Robert T. Mason and wife, Paula, and great-grandchildren; Morgan Fitting, Haylee Mayhew, Lane Mayhew, Evan Mason, and Andy Mason.
