Dorothy Elizabeth Chimenti, 73, of Lynchburg, VA, died Wednesday, August 13, 2014. She was the beloved wife of Frank Anthony Chimenti for 50 years.
Born Thursday, June 26, 1941 in Dubois, PA, Dorothy was a daughter of the late Otto Becker and the late Vera Malasky Becker.
In addition to her husband, Dorothy is survived by her children: Stefanie Prokity and her husband, David, of Rustburg, and Eric Chimenti and his wife, Dawn, of Southern California; a grandson, Daniel Chimenti, of Southern California, and two sisters: Nona Sewell, of Sumter, SC, and Mary Ella Eaglen and her husband, Jack, of Harborcreek, PA.
Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and walking. She loved animals, especially cats and dogs. Her family will always remember her baked desserts.
A celebration of Dorothy’s life will be conducted at 4:00 PM on Sunday, August 17, 2014 at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, with the Rev. Dr. Tom Bryant officiating.
