Dorothy Elizabeth Turk Kinney

A resident of Westminster-Canterbury retirement community in Lynchburg, Dorothy T. Kinney departed this life on Wednesday, September 17, 2014. Born in Carthage, MO on January 27, 1909, she was the eldest of two living children born to Ella and Elza Turk, dirt poor farmers in Southwest Missouri. She and her brother, Paul, helped their parents tend the small herd of dairy cattle, plant and harvest crops, and tend other livestock around the 160 acre farm.
