Dorothy Goad Lemon
Dorothy Olivia Goad Lemon, 100, of Bedford died Thursday, March 22, 2012 in the Bedford CountyNursing Home. She was born December 17, 1911in Bedford County, a daughter of the late Reva Douglas Arnold Goad and RayVaughn Goad.
Dorothy was a member of Word of Life Church Evangelical Church.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her first husband, Clay Ferguson, andher second husband, Paul Carlton Lemon; a son, Winfred Arnold Ferguson; sixbrothers; and two sisters.
She is survived by four children, Billy Grey (Shirley) Ferguson of Huddleston, Barbara(Leonard) Mayhew of Bedford; Brenda Howard and her friend, Jim Peters ofLynchburg and Danny (Carol) Ferguson of Roanoke; six grandchildren; elevengreat-grandchildren; six great great-grandchildren; two sisters, Eunice Fullenof Goode and Margaret Turner of Bedford; numerous nieces and nephews; andspecial friends, Bobbi and Gene Davidson of Bedford.

A celebration of Dorothy\"™s life will be conducted at 11 AM, Saturday, March 24, 2012 at TharpFuneral Home with Pastor David Whitehurst and Rev. Wayne Murphyofficiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
