Dorothy Marie Collins Allen, 90, of Richmond died, Sunday, July 19, 2015 at her residence in Richmond. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and friend to many.
Born April 12, 1925 in Roanoke, she was a daughter of the late Wiley Willard Collins and Mabel Marie Woods Collins.
She is also preceded in death by her daughter, Peggy Marie Biggs and her two sisters, Hazel C. Ayers and Arlene C. Payne.
Dorothy retired from Reynolds Metals and was a member of Quaker Baptist Church.
Dorothy is survived by her son, Julian D. Allen of Richmond; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at Tharp Funeral Home, Thursday, July 23, 2015 at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford, is assisting the family.
