Dorothy Mae Fisher Cocke

Dorothy Mae Fisher Cocke, 80, of Bedford, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at her residence. Born in Lynchburg, VA on February 5th, 1933, a daughter of the late James Edward Lee Fisher and Mary Viney Tucker Fisher. In addition to her parents Dorothy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Earl Ashby Cocke, Sr.; a son, Earl Ashby Cocke, Jr. and seven brothers and sisters.

She attended church at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church. She loved the outdoors and gardening especially her flowers.

Dorothy is survived by her three children, Lou Nelson, William Edward Cocke and wife, Linda and Timothy Cocke; four grandchildren, Selina Patten, Christopher Patten, Bill Cocke and Keith Cocke; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Carlton Melvin Fisher and his wife, Phyllis; and her loving pets, Pugsley, Scoobie and Tabbie.

A graveside celebration of Dorothy\"™s life will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor David Hinsen officiating.
