Dorothy Mary Linscott

March 5, 1931 — July 2, 2020

Dorothy Mary Linscott, 89, transitioned to her heavenly home on July 2, 2020.  Dorothy, or Nina, as her grandchildren lovingly called her, was the loving wife of the late William Louis Linscott.

Dorothy was born March 5, 1931 in Brooklyn New York, a daughter of the late Thomas Deppert and Adele Roge Deppert.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three brothers, Thomas Deppert, Fred Deppert and Richard Deppert and her sister and best friend, Arlene Rita Paige.

Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Maribeth Teass, Kelly Brown (David) and Tammy Kalb (John); her grandchildren, Morgan Teass, Andrew Kirby (Barbara), D.W. Teass (Abby), Kristin Kirby, Alex Brown, and Matthew Kalb.  Nina was blessed to also be the great grandmother to Cheyenne, Adrian, Ayvah and Adelaide. She is also survived by three brothers, Edward Deppert (Chickie), Dennis Deppert (Cheryl), and Robert Deppert; and her lifelong best friend Karen Bourque Scott along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Finally, Dorothy is survived by “Bella Marie” her 4-legged fourth child that completed her world.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday July 8, 2020, from 6:00-9:00 PM at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg.  A Celebration of Life, officiated by Father Steve McNally, will be held Thursday, July 9, 2020 at 11:00 AM Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg Chapel.  Interment, officiated by Chaplain Wayne Lanham, will be held on Friday, July 10 at 1:00 PM at St. Andrews Diocesan Cemetery Salem, Virginia.

Dorothy lived her life to the fullest and never met a stranger. She lived a fabulous life full of sparkle and bling.  Please honor Dot by wearing your brightly colored, fabulous outfits- because we all know that the DIVA is watching.
