Dorothy Thompson Eubank, 92, of Lynchburg, died on Saturday, December 18, 2010, at Runk & Pratt of Forest, Virginia. Born on August 8, 1918 in Lynchburg, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Alice Currier Thompson and Albert Gilmore Thompson.
Mrs. Eubank was retired from General Electric and a member of Quaker Memorial Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are two sons, Robert Leland Eubank and his wife Carolyn of Lynchburg, and Barry Gordon Eubank and his wife Gaile of Madison Heights; two grandsons Stephen Reid Eubank and his wife Rebecca of Amherst, and David Brian Eubank and his wife Kirstin of Lynchburg; a granddaughter, Laura Eubank Harman and her husband Gregory of Lindenhurst, Illinois; six great-grandchildren: Emma and Ainsley Eubank of Amherst; Reid, Ian, and Spencer Harman of Lindenhurst, Illinois; and Kiley Eubank of Lynchburg; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of forty-eight years, Leland Perryman Eubank, four sisters, five brothers, and a beloved nephew, Lemuel Calvin McCraw Jr., whom she raised as a son.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at Tharp Funeral Home on Breezewood Drive on Monday, December 20, 2010 from 6:00\""7:30 p.m. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 21, 2010 in Fort Hill Memorial Park, by the Rev. David Gellert.
