Douglas Lewis Ashley Jr., 72, of Monroe passed away Sunday, May 7, 2023, at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of the late Patricia Rice Ashley.
Born in Lynchburg, on May 15, 1950, he was the son of the late Douglas Ashley Sr. and Carrie Ashley.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, brother Willie, and sister-in-law Kathleen.
He is survived by two children, Lesa Hall, and Shawn Ashley (Megan); five grand children and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
