Douglas Minor Harrington, 60, died November 15, 2014 in Lynchburg Virginia. He was the husband of Elizabeth Schoenrock Harrington, for 25 years.
Born in September 26, 1954, in Mount Morris, Michigan, Doug was a son of Patricia Bates Harrington and the late Donald Weber Harrington.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his brother, Gregory David Harrington and a Step Son, Russell Lymoine Hoover, III.
In addition to his wife and mother, Doug is survived by a son, Minor James Harrington, a step daughter: Rachel Luellen Shumaker and her husband, Alfred Duane Shumaker, a step daughter in-law, Kristina Marie Hoover; two brothers: Michael Bates Harrington and his wife, Elizabeth Stoll Harrington and Stephen Clark Harrington and his wife, Penny Louise Pringle, 5 step grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Doug was an active member of the Lynchburg Amateur Radio League and a member of various Civic Organizations. He was owner of Premier Limousine Service, White House Properties and Premier Enterprises.
There will be a “Celebration of Life” reception for family and friends on Thursday November 20, 2014, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Premier Room, Upper Level, 3727 Old Forest Road, Lynchburg, VA
A private family burial is planned on Friday, November 21, 2014 at Fort Hill Memorial Park with Pastor Dennis Roberts officiating.
