Dr. Asur Grisales, 85, of Chatham, died Saturday, February 24, 2018. He was the husband of the late Ellen Evans Grisales for 55 years.
Asur was born May 16, 1932 in Armenia, Columbia. He was a son of the late Rafael Grisales and Isabel Ospina Grisales. He is survived by his daughters Beverly Ann Grisales, Darcy Armstrong , Angela Varga, and many nieces and a nephew. Asur was also survived by extended family, Juan Zacarias, Maria Munos-Pacheco, and Brian Munos.
Dr. Asur Grisales worked over 50 years as a pathologist in Danville, Martinsville, and in other hospitals. He enjoyed reading, gardening and caring for his historic property known as Oakland.
Memorial services will be held privately. Special appreciation to Lori Adams, Rachel Thompson, and all involved from Centra Hospice. Donations to Centra Hospice in lieu of flowers would be appreciated.
