Dr. Richard David Schreiber, 89, of Lynchburg, died peacefully on January 29, 2015. He was the husband of the late Vera Elizabeth Schreiber.
Born on July 27, 1925, in Pittsburgh, PA David was a son of the late Eleanor and George T. F. Schreiber. He practiced Obstetrics and Gynecology in a western suburb of Chicago until his retirement in 1993 and moved to Virginia in 2000.
In addition to his wife and parents, David was preceded in death by a sister Nancy Conklin, a brother James F. Schreiber, and children Tom, Gregory, and David.
David is survived by a sister Marilyn Crawford, sisters-in-law Mary Marsh and Sharon Schreiber, brothers-in-law Hugh Crawford and Phil Conklin, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at Westminster Canterbury at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2015. Following visitation there will be a memorial service in the chapel at 11 a.m.
