Earl Thomas Pendleton

Earl Thomas Pendleton, 79, of Bedford passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born in Moneta, VA on April 19, 1934; a son of the late William Sampson Pendleton and Annie Rebecca Hatter. In addition to his parents Earl was preceded in death by four brothers, Raymond Pendleton and his wife, Jocelyne, Robert Pendleton, Paul Pendleton and Leroy Pendleton; one sister, Lorene Wade and her husband, Richard; one brother-in-law, Nelson Boothe.

Earl was retired from the Rubatex Corporation as a machine operator. He loved the outdoors especially hunting and fishing.

Earl is survived by two sisters, Helen Blair and her husband, Donald and Mable Boothe; three sisters-in-law, Lucille, Marie and Yvonne Pendleton; special longtime friend, Nellie Powers; also numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

A celebration of Earl\"™s life will be conducted at 2:00 pm, on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Tharp Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends two hours prior. Burial will follow at Virginia Memorial Park. Arrangements by Tharp Funeral & Crematory, Bedford, (540)-586-3443.
