Earna Rachel Flowers Orange

Earna Rachel Flowers Orange, 89, of Montvale passed away on March 18, 2024 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born on January 30, 1935 to the late Floyd L. Flowers and Eva Clara Guilliams Flowers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl T. Orange; daughter, Regina O. Campbell; grandson, Bryan Davis and brothers, Jack K. Flowers, W. Edward Flowers and Douglas R. Flowers.

Earna was born in Stewartsville, she first attended Jeter’s Chapel Church. She was deeply rooted in the church from a young age. She was married to her husband, Earl T. Orange for over 51 years. Her greatest joy came from her family as well as helping or feeding others. She was a devoted member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, as well as a generous supporter of the Montvale Volunteer Rescue Squad and the Montvale Fire Department.

She is survived by her daughters, Janice O. Branham, Clara O. “Chris” Davis, Sandra O. Wrenn, Melinda O. Crouch; son, Earl “Tom” Orange, Jr; beloved son- in-laws Mike Campbell and Johnny Crouch; grandchildren, Nikki C. Brown, Michael Campbell, Jr, Meghan D. Nelson and April Branham; eleven great-grandchildren; sister, Sarah Smith; brothers, Donald Flowers (Esther) and James L. Flowers (Betty) and special pet, Buster.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Tharp Funeral Chapel, Bedford, with the Rev. Bill Mitchell officiating. The family will receive friends at Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford on Friday, March 22, 2024, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
