Edgar Lewis Arthur
Edgar Lewis Arthur, 69, of Natural Bridge Station, VA, died Monday, August 8, 2011. He was the husband of the late Brenda Ross Arthur.
Edgar was born August 29, 1941 in Bedford. He was the son of the late Crawford Lewis and the late Blanche Nichols Arthur. He retired from Georgia Pacific after 37 years and was a member of Big Island Baptist Church. He was also a member of Big Island Volunteer Fire Department for many years.
Edgar is survived by his beloved daughter, Angela Arthur Coleman and friend, Paul Fedorow of Natural Bridge Station, his grandchildren, Aaron Coleman and friend, Crystal Southers and Brittany Coleman and fiancé Jeffrey Camden, a great-grandchild, Aden Camden all of Natural Bridge Station, and his sisters, Patsy Hall of Waynesboro, and Carolyn Branch of Big Island.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at Big Island Baptist Church. A celebration of Edgar's life will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Donald J. Thorne officiating. Interment will follow in Big Island Cemetery.
