Edith Clendenning Stanton, age 94, of Bedford, Va., died Friday, March 23, 2018 at the English Meadows Elks Home. She was the loving wife of the late Irving Berkeley Stanton, Jr. for 65 years.
Born November 21, 1923 in Eddystone, Pa., Edith was the daughter of the late James Kennedy Clendenning and the late Edith Miller Clendenning.
She is survived by her son, James Stanton of Bedford, Va.; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 1118 Ebenezer Road, Bedford, VA 24523.
