Edith Forbes Tate

Edith Mae Forbes Tate, 77, of Lynchburg, formerly of Bedford, died Tuesday, March 15, 2011. Born November 19, 1933 in Bedford, she was a daughter of the late Ervin Forbes and Bertha Forbes.

Edith was an active member of Timber Ridge Baptist Church. She frequently visited shut-ins and those in nursing homes. Edith was a self-employed bookkeeper and tax preparer for over 40 years, she also sold Home Interior for 23 years.

Edith is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Bierer and her husband John of Bedford.

The family extends a special thank you to the nurses who gave such good care to Edith; Janet Brogdon, Cassondra Mosely, and Deshonna Hurtte.
