Edith Lila Goff Padgett, 87, of Forest passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2018 in Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Floyd Reid Padgett, Sr.
Born July 31, 1931 in Bedford County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Annie Goff.
She is also preceded in death by a son: Kenneth L. Padgett.
Edith is survived by her son: Floyd Padgett, Jr. and wife, Wanda; two daughters: Teresa and Wanda Padgett; grandchildren: Joseph Eric Padgett, Whitney McDill and husband, Chris, Tara Lynchard and husband, Nick, Maddie Wodjyla, Rhiannon Wodjyla; and her special friend: Evelyn Strange.
Edith was a loving mother and grandmother, she loved her church and her church family. She was a member of Hunting Creek Baptist Church and also Central Baptist Church. She will be greatly missed by all you knew her.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Hunting Creek Baptist Church conducted by Pastor Larry W. Fitzgerald.
