Edith Maxine Hensley Wilson, 80, of Lynchburg died on April 14, 2010. She was the beloved wife of the late Preston Edward Wilson Sr. for 48 years. She was a devout Christian and member of Clearview Baptist Church.
Raised in Bedford, she was preceded in death by her mother and father, Nell and Curtis Hensley; her sisters, Christine St. Clair and Nancy Owens; and her brothers, Kyle and Stuart Hensley,
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Wilson and her son-in-law, Stephen Trammel, who reside in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. She also is survived by her son, Preston Edward Wilson, Jr. and her daughter-in-law, Deborah Wilson; and her precious grandchildren, Daniel and Bethany, all of Littleton, CO. She has two living sisters, Gail Cunningham and her husband, Bill, and Opal Eubank and her husband, Lewis, all of Bedford; any many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg. A graveside service will be conducted at Virginia Memorial Park on Friday, April 23, 2010 at 11:00 a.m., with the Reverend Wayne Green officiating.
