Edna Inez Campbell Motley, 89, of Bedford passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at her residence.
Born July 16, 1927 in Concord, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Bernard and Bessie Clairindia Campbell. She is also preceded in death by her son; Nelson Eugene Motley, Jr., and son-in-law Edward Proctor.
Edna was a member of the Central VA Area Agency on Aging; she enjoyed traveling, crocheting, knitting and crafts. Edna could tell you the names of any flowers and she loved to spend time outdoors in her flower gardens. She was a member of Morgan’s Baptist Church.
Edna is survived by her son; Kenneth Bruce Motley and wife, Connie; daughter-in-law;; Linda Motley; daughter; Patricia Joy Proctor; 10 grandchildren; 19 greatgrandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Friday, June 30, 2017 at Morgan’s Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Jason Arthur officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
