Edna “Sis” Amparan, 77, of Lynchburg and Formally of Bedford, passed away on Friday, December 7, 2018 at Lynchburg General Hospital while surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Fredericksburg, VA on May 1, 1941. A daughter of the late, Roland and Lorraine Stephens. Sis was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family and friends. She was very active in both community and church events. She helped start the Women’s Auxiliary and Volunteer candy stripers with Bedford Memorial Hospital. She was also a wonderful cook and baker. Baking, crafts and art are just a few of her hobbies.
She is survived by her loving husband, Dr. Aquiles Amparan; children, Aquiles Amparan, Jr. and his wife, Kim; Maria Bass and husband, Christopher; Laura Osborn and husband, Brock and Marta Rowe and husband, Paul. Nine grandchildren, Aquiles Amparan, III, Grace Amparan, Taylor Bass, Virginia Bass, Brennon Osborn, Carson Osborn, Abby Rowe, Jackson Rowe and Kyle Hogan.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 pm and 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Tharp Funeral Home in Bedford. The family will have a private inurnment service.
