Edward Murray Halbert
Edward Murray Halbert born on January 2, 1931 in Petersburg, VA. passed away on February 17, 2013. He married Amy M. Blackwood on February 21, 1962, celebrating almost 51 years of marriage.
He leaves behind four children: Christopher C. Halbert and wife Kelly of Winchester, VA., Andrew Halbert, Brian Halbert and wife Heather of Ashburn, VA and Heidi Halbert of North Myrtle Beach, S. C.; seven grandchildren: Emily Halbert, Kaitlyn Newlin, Riley Halbert, Thomas Halbert, Brandon Halbert, Bryson Halbert and Skyler Halbert and one great grandchild, Hunter Garrison.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Gregory Halbert.
He worked for TWA for 35 years in Chicago, IL at O\"™Hare Airport and retired from Dulles Airport, Washington, DC in 1988. He served four years in the Air Force. He enjoyed playing golf and watching his beloved VA Tech Hokies.
The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
