Edward A. Thomas, affectionately known as Eddie to many and Clyde to a close few, quietly slipped away on May 29, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of humility and enduring love.
A proud native of Carney's Point, New Jersey, Eddie often reminisced about “riding bikes on the dirt, back roads of Woodstown” with his best friend and beloved brother, Zachary Bernard. These cherished memories reflected the spirit of a man who valued connection, simplicity, and the beauty of everyday life.
Eddie dedicated 35 years of loyal service to Sony Music, where his quiet strength, integrity, and dedication earned the respect and admiration of those around him.
Outside of work, Eddie enjoyed bike riding, “fixing things,” walking around town, and brightening lives through countless random acts of kindness. He was a "pure, gentle soul with no pretenses"—someone who gave freely, asked for little, and left a lasting impression wherever he went.
Eddie had a sweet tooth, an infectious laugh, and an unmistakable spark in his eyes when he spoke of his family, especially his daughters and grandchildren.
He is survived by Denise Thomas and their loving daughters: Monique Redmond (children Kwame and Malik), LeNora Smith (daughter LeNise), Tramaine Thomas Walker (children Christian and Ava), and T’Lea Thomas (children Jolene and Kye). He is also survived by his devoted brother, Zachary Bernard, and sister-in-law, Isabell Bernard.
In addition, Eddie leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, half-sisters and half-brothers, extended family, and lifelong friends who will continue to cherish his memory and the gentle, generous spirit he shared with all.
Edward A. Thomas lived with generosity and loved without condition. Though he has departed this life, the example he set and the love he shared will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
