Edward Wayne Donald, age 70, of Lynchburg, VA, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Lynchburg General Hospital.
Born March 31, 1946 in Lynchburg, Edward was a son of the late James Wyatt Donald Sr. and Frances Mae Burns Donald. He retired from Virginia Baptist Hospital and was a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, James Wyatt Donald, Jr. and Thomas Lewis Donald, Sr.
Butch is survived by a sister, Patricia Elaine Lawhorne, two brothers, Jacque Donald and his wife Barbara, Ricky Allen Donald and his wife Kathy all of Lynchburg and a numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 16, 2017, at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A celebration of Edward’s life will be held at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg, on Friday, March 17, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Dave Heerspink officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Lynchburg Humane Society, 1211 Old Graves Mill Road, Lynchburg, VA 24502.
The family would like to thank the staff of Avante Nursing Home for the wonderful care given to Butch during his extended stay.
